Leading Teams Australia is excited to announce the placement of a new facilitator and business partner in South Australia as part of our ongoing expansion.
Daniel Healy, Football Development Manager at Port Adelaide Football Club, will begin employment with Leading Teams in November 2013.
A South Australian boy, Daniel began his over 20 year relationship with the Leading Teams program while a 135 game, 5 x premiership player (4 as captain) at SANFL club Central District. Leading Teams Director, Ray McLean, remembers with fondness “a scrawny kid we thought we almost killed” in that infamous watershed pre-season that began Centrals’ rise to a decade of SANFL greatness.
“I should have given him more credit, his teaching & leadership abilities were evident even then” says McLean.
Daniel’s move to AFL club, St Kilda, coincided with McLean delivering the Leading Teams Performance Improvement Program there in the late 90s.
As such, along with club emerging leaders such as Robert Harvey, Stewart Loewe, and now Leading Teams employee Justin Peckett, Daniel was one of the founding athlete facilitators delivering Leading Teams workshops in schools and to youth at risk.
McLean says “Daniel’s natural ability as a facilitator combined with his many years of training and application of the empowerment principles, most recently in his years at Port Adelaide, will be a great asset to both Leading Teams corporate and sporting clients.”
Daniel is thrilled to be working with the team while being based in SA; “South Australia is my home and I can’t wait to use my skills & my passionate belief in the Leading Teams model to help those in the corporate and the elite sporting environment drive high performance” he said.
Leading Teams is excited to finalise a more permanent move into the South Australian market already housing clients such as Rural Bank, Bendigo & Adelaide Bank & TAFE SA.
Alongside Darren in Perth, Garie in Sydney and our team in Melbourne, Leading Teams is now truly a national company. Leading Teams central office continues to be based in East Melbourne.
