How would you like to be described by your family, friends, and clients?

My friends and family would describe me as loyal, capable, authentic and funny. Always the one in the room to make everyone feel welcome and accepted.

What is your favourite piece of leadership advice, or quote?

“Only in the darkness can we see the stars” Matin Luther King Jnr

I love this quote as it reminds us that adversity is part of life and that out of adversity, pressure and discontent, comes glimmers, hope and the diamonds of life.

What does success look like with a client?

I believe success is that moment when the lightbulb switches on for someone, when their energy is renewed and they can see the light ahead. I believe success for a team is when they have an authentic purpose that is common and that they all realise their role to achieve that purpose.

Tell us about your culture and leadership experience?

I have worked in the education space for 30 years, having been an educational leader for 20 of those. I have also been a lead cast member and worked on production teams for dozens of theatre shows. I don’t believe I have always got it right as a leader, but I have noticed and taken the best from others, taken the time to reflect on my leadership, modelled the behaviours I expect to see and made the commitment to myself and others to get better each and every day. I have led high performing teams where team members care about one another, the clients and the outcomes, and where performance, however it is measured, has been celebrated as a collective effort.
