My association with Leading Teams began many years ago during my 20 plus year tenure at the Port Adelaide Football Club in conditioning and Corporate Training. I spent the last 9 years in Far North Queensland where I saw the success Leading Teams has had with Tafe Qld whilst employed there.

How would you like to be described by your family, friends, and clients?

As Dependable and Authentic. He does what he says he’s going to do and he is open and honest.

What is your favourite piece of leadership advice, or quote?

Start with the end in mind
If you know what you want something to look like in the end it’s easier to build it along the way. I can adapt this to any problem, challenge or issue I have in life.

What does success look like with a client?

To me success looks like a team that has a clear sense of purpose. In other words, the organization’s strategies, capabilities, and behaviour are aligned to their purpose. In addition, staff feel safe enough to speak up and have genuine conversations with each other about behaviours that are either allowing them or preventing them from becoming the team they want to be.

Tell us about your culture and leadership experience?

The majority of my working life (28 years) was spent working at the Port Adelaide Football Club in a variety of roles. Commencing as the Fitness Coach and concluding as the Leadership Manager. The Port Adelaide Football Club has a renowned culture of success and it’s there that I was introduced to Leading Teams programs. After I left Port Adelaide I spent 9 years in Far North Queensland where I saw the success the Leading Teams had with Tafe Qld whilst employed there Lecturing in Leadership and Management.
