Leading Teams is delighted to welcome new Facilitator Gavin Mahony to the team, based in Melbourne.

Facilitator Gavin Mahony

Gavin Mahony at the new Leading Teams office in South Melbourne

Gavin joins us from AFL Victoria, where he was the Football Development Manager. Prior to that he has worked with an incredible range of teams in a host of different countries, including stints as the General Manager of AFL London and working in the marketing team for FC Union Berlin in the Bundesliga in Germany.

Gavin’s work with so many high performing teams is what makes him the perfect fit for a facilitator – he thrives on forging strong relationships to improve individual and team performance, saying,

“There is something really special about working with high performing people and high performing teams.  When you are a part of a high performing team, there is a certain intangible energy, enthusiasm and enjoyment that drives people to commit to a higher purpose.”

His interest in Leading Teams was sparked during his time with the AFL in London in 2009-10. He has kept in touch with the team since then, closely following what Leading Teams was doing.  He made the decision to join the business in November 2017.

Leading Teams director, Martine Harkin, said:

“We knew as soon as we met Gavin that he not only had the right skills to be a great facilitator, his breadth and depth of experience with such a variety of teams will help him relate to our broad range of clients. We also knew that he was the right fit for Leading Teams – he straight away shared his own personal values and how those aligned with ours. We couldn’t not ask him to join us.”

Gavin will be delivering our Performance Improvement Program to a range of clients in the corporate, sporting, government and education sectors.
