Leading Teams is pleased to announce the appointment of Simon Fletcher as its new Facilitator in Brisbane.

Simon will be responsible for managing Leading Teams’ expansion into the Queensland market, while continuing to provide invaluable counsel for organisations wishing to improve their team dynamics.

Simon joins Leading Teams after a successful tenure at the Gold Coast Suns as the football club’s Player Development Manager. His role was fundamental in helping to develop a successful foundation throughout the organisation, along with mentoring a diverse group of young AFL recruits.

“It was an amazing experience to be part of the build of an AFL Club from the ground up, Simon noted. “When I began we had roughly 15 full time employees and when I left was over 80. To be involved in the build of a culture from scratch and seeing the dynamics of an organisation change over time. This has given me enormous insight into the importance of leaders modelling behaviours and the importance of inducting people into your culture and building strong relationships.

“I was thrilled when I was offered the opportunity to grow Leading Teams in Queensland. I look forward to facilitating successful programs with our Queensland-based corporate, sports, education and government clients.”

Simon rejoins Leading Teams having worked as a facilitator for the organisation from 2000–2010. Simon gained an understanding of the importance of a highly functioning team during his AFL career, which included stints at Geelong, Carlton and Richmond.

Leading Teams currently has a number of clients in the Queensland region, including TAFE Queensland, Charles Sturt University, Vibropile, and Radiation Oncology Centre Cairns.
