In it, Ray discusses the importance of attending to the environment and the culture of your new team, and warns of the dangers of bringing former colleagues from previous roles in to leadership positions, commenting, “that potentially has a very divisive effect.”

He goes on to stress the need to set ground rules about the behaviours you will and won’t accept in the team – as espoused in our High Performance Model.
