Leading Teams partner/facilitator, Jim Plunkett, is joining Melbourne Football Club as General Manager, People, Performance and Culture.
After 12 years at the company, Jim will be finishing at Leading Teams in November.
Leading Teams has a significant history with Melbourne, having worked directly with the Club since 2014 with Jim taking over as facilitator in 2015. Recently, MFC created a new role which will see Jim expand his remit from players and coaching staff to the whole club.
Jim said: “I can’t speak highly enough of the opportunity Leading Teams has given me over the past 12 years and I know we will continue to have a strong relationship. I’m very excited to join Melbourne Football Club full-time and I can’t wait to help the Club build on everything we’ve done so far.”
Justin Peckett, Jim’s business partner at Leading Teams, said: “Jim has been – and will always be – a big part of the Leading Teams family. We’re obviously sorry to see him go but we’re delighted that Melbourne have recognised his potential and the value of the work we’ve been doing with them.”
Peter Jackson, CEO at Melbourne Football Club commented: “Jim has built strong relationships across the Club and I’m thrilled to welcome him in to this important new role. I’m very pleased to have both Jim and the ongoing support of Leading Teams to help develop an even stronger culture at Melbourne FC.”
Jim Plunkett was one of Leading Teams’ founding athlete facilitators, first working with the company during his playing career in 2001. He has many years of experience with our programs and believes passionately in their principles.
