My background has been quite varied but could be best divided into two key areas. Travel and community sport. I have been fortunate to live and work in places like Tennant Creek, London and Berlin which provided me with great experiences and different perspectives on the world. With regards to community sport I have worked with the AFL, Australian Sports Commission and Anyinginyi Aboriginal Health Corporation helping improve governance, culture and coaching.

‘I prefer to focus on the only communication that can be trusted: behaviour’ – Gordon Livingstone.
In simple terms that they improve and become a high performing team. In practice that means each team and individual that I work with are really clear on who they are, what they stand for and continually challenge each other to be the best version of themselves.
I have been extremely privileged to experience leadership in many different environments from sporting teams as a captain, coach and board member to leading a team of Indigenous staff. Growing and building teams from scratch to managing and reporting to boards. Through this time, I have come across many great leaders who I have learnt so much from and plenty of poor leaders who have taught me valuable lessons in what not to do.
“We knew as soon as we met Gavin that he not only had the right skills to be a great facilitator, his breadth and depth of experience with such a variety of teams will help him relate to our broad range of clients. We also knew that he was the right fit for Leading Teams – he straight away shared his own personal values and how those aligned with ours. We couldn’t not ask him to join us.”
