Mike began his relationship with Leading Teams as a client through his role as a Head Coach of a Super Rugby team, under the facilitation of Darren Harris. He brings a wealth of varied experience to our team, having spent thirty years playing and coaching elite sport.

Following an illustrious rugby career, during which he amassed 111 games for The Queensland Reds, 50 Wallaby caps and a World Cup Medal, he spent 15 years fine-tuning his leadership in professional coaching at both a provincial and international level where he was responsible for a number of change management projects that involved the analysis, development and implementation of culture and strategies to drive high performance. In that time, Mike has provided consultancy support on high performance to a number of professional rugby programs internationally.

In 2014, he completed a Masters of Commerce through Sydney University majoring in People Management & Organisational Behaviour, as well as Strategy, Innovation & Entrepreneurship.

Mike’s honest, forthright approach to facilitation and coaching reflects his passion for team dynamics and professional excellence.
